Please note, all Lifts are made to order by hand, so we can do any Lift amount desired outside of what is listed above, any taper, and in metric measurements as well. If your Lift is not listed above, feel free to contact customer service for a quote if this is your first time using us. You may simply send your shoes along with a note describing your lift measurements.
People are interested in putting Lifts in their shoes primarily for two different reasons—either to correct a condition known as “Leg Length Discrepancy” or to increase their height. Leg Length Discrepancy, commonly referred to as LLD, is a condition of unequal lengths of the lower limbs. Essentially, it means that one leg is longer than the other.
Inserting a Lift into one or both shoes is the least expensive, most practical way to treat LLD.
Resole America has been putting Lifts on shoes for over 20 years. No other shoe repair company comes close to matching our combination of Craftsmanship and Convenience. Plus, we have special relationships with manufacturers which enable us to access many original materials, straight from the source, with the exact same colors and densities.
If you’re getting Lifts to treat LLD, and you don’t know the dimensions, we recommend seeing a specialist who can measure your legs and suggest the correct elevation. If you have been wearing Lifts for some time, and you already know your elevation, a prescription is not necessary. (Also, if you want Lifts simply to enhance your height, a prescription is not necessary either.)
Installing Lifts typically takes about 1 - 2 weeks.
